Poste Restante
I am hopefully about to receive an invitation to a wedding and I would like to send a real reply rather than an e-mail but don't have an address for my friend. Does anyone know if the central post office is reliable and if I can send a poste restante letter there (to be collected). If so does anyone have its address pelase,

Thank you

Registering in Khartoum?
I'm planning to travel down from Wadi Halfa to Khartoum?

Does anyone know if I need to register with the authorities when I get to Khartoum?

Suakin
Has anyone been to this town, near Port Sudan.

I'm planning to travel to that part of the country for a week or so and want to know what it's like. Is it worth a visit? And I've been hearing lots of tales about demonic cats there - anyone else heard these stories? What are they about?

Thanks! Kristina

An EU club?
In Khartoum, I know the international club, the greek club and the german club. Someone told me yesterday about the EU club as well - but I can't find it! Anyone know anything of this?

Plane safety
I know, Sudan being Africa, planes are not likely to be as safe as in Europe. But, not being the best of flyers at the best of times, I am anxiously wondering: how safe are they?

I don't want to let a fear of flying ruin my enjoyment of the holiday, but I do have worries that I could be dicing with death should I board one.

Thanks for the advice
S.
