All of our titles are written by people who are already living and working in a particular country. We do not pay people to write our guidebooks who are simply passing through or who just have an interest in the country, however talented a writer they might be.
Our reasoning behind this is very simple. We firmly believe that, until you live in a country and start to interact with the locals on a daily basis, then you can't possibly hope to properly understand the culture and the people.
Our authors have an open mind. They like travelling, exploring and understanding other cultures. They have an eye for those small details that matter and they are interested in trying and tasting everything.
