We are an independent publishing house, incorporated under English law.

Our city guides are among the most comprehensive travel books that you will find from any publisher.

They follow a very simple philosophy. At City Trail Publishing Ltd., we believe that there are two main things that the free-spirited traveller not only wants clear practical advice on exploring a country or city, but also the opportunity to acquire a good understanding of the cultural aspects of a place. Our guidebooks strive to meet both needs.

The Culture!

For those that are going to stay longer in a place, we include specific tips for living and working in the city, and detailed advice on how to adapt to cultural differences.

The Language!

Each of our guidebooks feature a comprehensive overview of the language or languages of the city, complete with freely-downloadable audio files - so that you can upload them to your MP3 player and practice the lingo while you are on the move!

The Maps!

Our guidebooks come complete with a set of clear and precise maps, specifically designed by our team of cartographers. In many of the remoter destinations that we cover, finding a good street map is extremely difficult, if not impossible. We also provide maps on the major public transport routes in the city - again, invaluable information to have for many destinations in the world.

The Company!

Finally, unlike many other guidebook companies, our dedicated team of researchers are permanently based in the countries or cities that they are writing about. Because of this, when we say that our guidebooks are up-to-date, we really mean it. When we revise our guidebooks, we don't just rely on the words of other travellers - though, of course, these are important. We rely on our team of researchers, based in the country, to find out what has changed. If a restaurant has closed down, or another one opened, you can be sure that we'll hear about it - and include it in our next edition of the guidebook.
